Our Services

Our assessment and diagnostic processes are aligned with national guidelines and firmly grounded in evidence-based practices. We strive to deliver gold standard assessments tailored to the unique needs of each individual, child, or family. We offer flexibility in the delivery of assessments, including a mobile service attending educational facilities, face to face, and some aspects of assessment are able to be delivered via telehealth.

The Assessment Process

While individual circumstance is unique,  most assessments will typically include the following:

1 - Screening, initial  interview, and collaboration on a plan for the assessment

The assessment process involves a significant investment of both time and resources. To start this journey, we gather a range of relevant information prior to the first appointment. This may include previous medical records and school reports. Then during the first appointment we delve into a detailed history, identify current concerns, and administer relevant measures/questionnaires. The screening process may also include reaching out to educators, discussions with other involved parties, or even observations at school or daycare. Following this, we'll carefully assess all the gathered information and collaboratively develop a plan.

2 - Testing Sessions

These sessions are usually comprised of structured or semi structured interviews, and/or standardized testing.

Some of the more common tests administered are:

- Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI)

- Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V)

- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)

- Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition (WIAT-III)

- Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)

- Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)

- Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition (MIGDAS-2)

- ADHD Child Evaluation (ACE) and ACE+

3 - Comprehensive report and Feedback

The report will provide a detailed history, outline the findings and any diagnoses and include all supporting evidence. Most importantly there will be a range of detailed recommendations offering a roadmap for individuals and families moving forward.
